An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Practitioner, based at the Redbridge Control Centre, Ilford with the option to work from home subject to your location.

The 4 Borough Emergency Duty Team operates from 16:30pm – 9.30am each night and all day on Saturday and Sunday and bank holidays (9am – 17:00pm).  The team is responsible for responding to referrals concerning children, young people and their families. The team also has a key role in the implementation of any civil emergency procedures and is the first point of contact for all Social Work business out of normal office hours within the London Boroughs of Redbridge, Waltham Forest, Havering and Barking & Dagenham.

You should have extensive relevant post qualifying experience in Social Work, current child/care protection knowledge as well as experience in using one or more of the following databases: Protocol, Mosaic, LiquidLogic LCS/EHM.

You should be able to work on your own initiative, evidence a sound ability to assess and manage risk and be able to respond effectively in a crisis.

You must have Social Work England registration.

The post also attracts a 10% shift allowance and weekend enhancements.
