The role
To achieve our mission, we’re looking for Senior Development Managers to join us. It’s your chance to help build better futures by increasing the supply and quality of affordable homes, schools and spaces for mixed uses in Camden. You’ll manage and deliver a technically complex portfolio of projects from start to finish. And you’ll help to secure the vital investment that funds our new and replacement affordable homes, schools and mixed use spaces. Driving innovation, best practice and best value, you’ll be accountable to our project sponsors and board. As well as advising colleagues and consultants, you’ll actively engage stakeholders like our residents, community groups, businesses and elected members. You’ll make it your priority to ensure everyone has a voice, and there is always full consideration of local needs and opportunities.
About you
We’re looking for experienced professionals who can think creatively. You bring an excellent understanding of the project management toolkit in a property development context, and a strong knowledge of procurement processes and construction contracts. Crucially, you’re also great with people. You put financial spreadsheets and appraisal tools to good use, as well as your stakeholder, negotiation and literacy skills. It’s important that you bring you wealth of experience, and evidence of continuous professional development. Alongside a thorough knowledge of town planning, land acquisition, financial viability appraisal and sustainability, you also understand how regeneration initiatives can address deprivation, community safety and cohesion.
