We would like applications from qualified and experienced candidates, who have worked with children and young adults and have experiences of implementing the Care Act, SEND Reforms/SEND Code of Practice, Children and Families Act in practice. For further information about Waltham Forest SEND Service and this particular role can be find in the Job Description attached.

The appointment would be at Team Manager level and report to the Assistant Director of SEND within the Learning & Systems Leadership Directorate.  This is a vital service supporting children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities and has come a long way in the past 18 months.  The successful candidate will have management and leadership experience and significant experience of working with children & young people and their families.  They will need to demonstrate the ability to maintain an operational and financial grip on a day-to-day basis as well as helping to shape the longer-term transformation of the team.
