The role
Camden’s Early Years’ service have a delightful opportunity for a dedicated and influential Stay and Play Manager to be part of the locality management team to support the coordination and delivery of a pathway of universal and targeted children’s centre services delivered across the borough, for families with children under the age of 5 years, with a particular focus on 0 - 2s.
You will manage a team of 10 stay and play workers to delivering high-quality drop-in sessions and crèche provisions ensuring the promotion of sustained engagement for those most at risk of poor outcomes, Identifying the early signs of difficulty, making appropriate referrals and maximising the positive impact of services on child and family outcomes.
As the manager you will bring extensive knowledge and expertise in relation to children’s learning and development and the EYFS Framework, observing front-line delivery and offering day-to-day advice and guidance to individual team members as well as engagement with service users.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity it is essential that you hold a Childcare/Early Years qualification at level 3 as a minimum and possess significant management experience in a childcare & early education setting. The successful candidate will have expert knowledge of children’s early learning and development and thorough up to date knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework and relevant Ofsted inspection frameworks.
Additionally you’ll have the ability to lead the delivery of activities to positive adult/child interactions and to help parents and carers to develop their understanding of how to support their child’s learning and development.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.
