Anonymised Application – in keeping with Camden’s commitment to inclusion the recruitment to this role is anonymised and supports the objective of reducing the impact of unconscious bias.

About us
In Camden we are committed to working together to make our borough the best place to live, work, study, and visit. Partnership with our communities is central to the way we work, so that everyone can access opportunities, and nobody gets left behind. Here’s where you can help decide a better future for us all.

To support transforming Somers Town in Kings Cross into a climate-ready community this role will oversee the delivery of the Circular Economy Market Project that forms one part of Camden’s successful 10 project bid with the community.

The role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and coordinate a project stakeholder team to deliver our Chalton Street Circular Economy Market programme testing zero waste themes and driving up circularity. In order to deliver the programme, you will support and coordinate the stakeholder group of five key bid partners and other strategic partners.

Along with the bid partners, you will support the project work that delivers creative making, upcycling, reuse, design and build projects and waste reduction, creating upskilling experiences to drive better waste management and street cleanliness in Somers Town community spaces. You will deliver themed trading experiences in Charlton Street Market, local events, and engagement activities to gather insights and data for wider reporting.

You will project manage and coordinate the projects key milestones and bid partner deliverables, reporting back as required to the project board and Greater London Authority. This role will involve managing the project budget, communications, administering the funding bid governance, and other data and reporting requirements. You will support wider recruitment, partnerships, community project and volunteer activities providing new green job opportunities to local people.

About you
We are looking for someone with project management and report writing experience, particularly those who have experience working with circular economy principles within community-led projects.

You will be knowledgeable of policy and projects to reduce and redistribute waste, and approaches to make environmental improvements in an inner London context.

You will be a clear communicator with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships and share information clearly to a range of audiences.
