As a Senior Project Manager you will be reporting directly to the Principal Account Leader Social Care.
A bit about the team
Our social infrastructure portfolio is primarily a UK based business working in key sectors of education, health, social care, and communities. Our work stretches from running time limited projects and programmes through to managing the £43m per year Adoption Support Fund on behalf of the government. We are expanding our team and have an exciting opportunity for a qualified social worker to join our advisory business, in the social infrastructure team.
The focus of this exciting opportunity is to help us develop our business across social care and take the lead on the delivery of projects, working with a range of clients across Local Authorities to Government departments such as the Department for Education, Department of Health and Social Care, and Cabinet Office. The successful candidate would be expected to help lead teams, manage senior stakeholders, and help to grow the business.

Delivery of high quality work for our clients.
Ensuring client requests are dealt with in a timely, professional and quality manner
Opportunity to shape the direction of this growing business
Producing bids and other business development opportunities
Client engagement for specific accounts
Providing leadership within our business and mentoring to teams
Contributing to the wider team and organisation through other project work when requested
Candidate Specification
Required for the position of Senior Project Manager;
Experience of project management in large and complex projects for Government Departments and/or Local Authorities
Qualified social worker
Experience in project management
Substantial experience working in the public sector or on public sector contracts
Preferred, but not required
Excellent communication and organisational skills and ability to liaise at all levels with both internal and external shareholders
Experience across a range of sectors is desirable
Highly motivated and with excellent networks
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Able to work in a fast-paced environment whilst being under pressure

The Advisory and Programme Delivery (APD) unit delivers management services in all the sectors that Mott MacDonald operate in the Built Environment, Defence, Energy, Water, Transportation and, Education, Health and Care.
The Unit delivers services to projects ranging in scale and complexity up to £20bn, through the technical disciplines of Programme Management, Project Management, Project Controls, Scheduling, Cost Management, Estimating, Infrastructure Finance, Management Consulting, Digital Consulting and Education, Health and Care Management.
Our education health and care portfolio is primarily a UK based business working in key sectors of education, public health and social care. Our work stretches from running training courses attended by individual teachers through to managing the £19m Adoption Support Fund on behalf of the government.
In many instances we operate under the Cambridge Education brand which provides synergy with other global education activities in the Group.
