Adopt London East is a Regional Adoption Agency hosted by Havering and provides a service on behalf of Havering, Newham, Barking and Dagenham and Tower Hamlets. We went live in October 2019 and continue to develop a quality service for our children and for adoptive families. Adoption Support Social Worker for Adopt London East providing adoption support across 4 East London Boroughs.
- Undertaken comprehensive adoption support assessments and ensure delivery of the support plan
- Apply for funding from ASF and other bodies to enable identified support packages to be delivered
- Work with colleagues across the four boroughs to ensure adopters in need of support are identified and that all professionals work together to provide a unified service
About the job
We have a social work position in Adoption Support. In this position, you will play a key role in the delivery of a highly effective adoption support service working to improve outcomes for our children and families. You will be responsible for managing a caseload, carrying out high quality assessments and ensuring our children are safe. You will work in partnership with social workers in Local Authorities across the four Adopt London East Boroughs.
About you
Along with a social work qualification and HCPC registration, you will possess a good knowledge of adoption social work and be able to apply this understanding to your practice.
You will be an enthusiastic team player but able to work Independently and take responsibility for your own work.
Above all you will have an enthusiasm for work in adoption and a commitment to working in partnership to develop and improve our service to our families.
