We are seeking an Early Years Funding Manager, to work in a key position within the Bromley Early Years Team.
 
You will have previous experience in, and a good working knowledge of, the full range of early years education funding,
and the rules in place to ensure it is used appropriately to support Bromley children.
 
You will need a sound understanding of data and be able to ensure the Council’s Census submission is accurate and
submitted on time to the Department for Education.
 
You will have a good working knowledge of basic financial procedures, excellent attention to detail and be able to audit
expenditure effectively.
 
The postholder will manage a small team and be responsible for the ongoing development of that team, as well as
developing service delivery to ensure it remains up to date with any changes in funding rules and requirements.
 
An understanding of early years education delivery would be of benefit.
 
Good communication skills, both written and verbal are essential. The postholder will be in regular contact with our early
years providers as well as being required to communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and other professionals.
 
The successful applicant will be subject to a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check regarding proof of ID,
medical clearance, and the right to work in the UK.
 
This is a full-time permanent post for 36 hours per week, primarily based in Bromley Central Library.
 
The post is BR12 with a salary range of £35,872 - £38,794 depending on experience.
 
The postholder is required from 1 st  April 2022.
