Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone. Because we’re not just home to the UK’s fast-growing economy. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today. And we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. As a Senior Policy and Project Officer you will lead on aspects of strategy, policy, improvement and transformation in key areas of work across the organisation.

The role

In this role you will be required to lead on aspects of strategy, policy, improvement and transformation in key areas of work across the organisation. The role involves supporting and coordinate work with high levels of complexity or risk – including a range of projects to bring about effective and positive change across the organisation.

You will work in a variety of disciplines and environments in support of multiple teams and departments to assist in the delivery of corporate and directorate priorities.

You will make intelligent use of data, inform decision-making and shape and improve service delivery across the council and with local partners

About you

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to analyse data to present complex information and recommendations in a clear manner to a range of audiences. Engaging communications and report-writing are key aspects of the role.

Ideally you will have experience of local government and have led work to develop policy and strategy. Additionally, you will have experience of project or programme planning, development, implementation and monitoring. You might also have experience in change management, engagement and participation.

You will be a keen learner, willing to work outside of your comfort zone and build cross-cutting subject matter expertise in fast paced and political environment.
