Business Growth Project Manager
The successful Business Growth Project Manager will support our Employment Business and Skills (EBS) services and emerging plans for Business and Jobs Recovery.
You will be responsible for leading and delivering an ambitious area of work, collaborating with delivery teams across EBS and the rest of the Council. You will plan and deliver key, high profile and ambitious projects that will assist in the economic recovery of the borough.
You will have excellent project management skills that project plans are developed, communicated and monitored. You will take action to communicate the benefits of projects with a wide range of stakeholders and partners, resolving highly technical / complex issues and proactively anticipate problems. You will be responsible for overseeing and co-ordinating a specialist area and to lead new developments in this area, including the development and implementation of new services, policies, procedures, programmes, projects, and initiatives.
Working alongside colleagues in Regeneration, Planning, Property, Culture, Licensing, Public Health, Climate Change and Residents Services you will help to support wider economic recovery activities and maximise opportunities for jobs, skills and training, business support and development, inward investment and regeneration, and long-term economic growth in the borough.
The successful candidate will take on a broad portfolio of projects and should have experience of project management and of delivering business growth and economic regeneration activities and outcomes that contribute to the achievement of strategic priorities.
You will have plenty of energy and drive to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a mixed and varied workload. You will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and driven to achieve success, creative, innovative, and resilient.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience include:
- Experience of successfully delivering programmes or projects
- Strong communication skills with experience in briefing, advising, and influencing members, senior officers, and stakeholders
- Excellent manager of people, with the ability to mobilise resources effectively and motivate others to deliver on objectives
- Experience of working collaboratively across teams and services to deliver positive outcomes for businesses and residents.
