We are looking for an Education Improvement Lead specialising in Primary and Special schools to deliver a professional and efficient service for the borough.
About the role
You will be an expert representative of the Council's views and decisions.
As the Education Improvement Lead, you will be responsible for the local authority's work strand in challenging and supporting a group of link Primary and Special Schools, working as a lead member of the Education Improvement and Partnership Service at the London Borough of Hillingdon. You will provide a front-line lead role in establishing and maintaining a strong working relationship with school leaders and academies; working together to deliver excellent outcomes for Hillingdon learners.
Identifying and planning intervention where school failure is a risk will be one of your responsibilities. In addition, you will maintain an accurate and up to date database on the performance of schools and pupils.
In this role you will lead and take individual responsibility in local projects and line-manage another colleague or external consultants when required.
About you
We are looking for someone who has qualified teacher status and is working as a Headteacher or a member of a school's Senior Management Team in the phase or strand of education comparable to this post.
Experience of successful use of a range of data to inform school development planning and an excellent understanding of school improvement and school self-evaluation are essential for this role.
You will already posses the ability and be able to demonstrate experience in delivering high quality training to a range of audiences, in particular school leaders.
In your current role you will be successfully building and developing partnerships with school leaders. We do require you to have the ability to inspire teachers, senior managers, governors, and colleagues and be able to advise them with your in-depth expert knowledge and understanding of the current issues impacting on provision in the primary phase and special schools.
A knowledge and understanding of current and recent initiatives from DFE, Ofsted and other national agencies connected to primary school education and special schools is vital.
