Receptionist
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist to join the team and support the customer service delivery of the Healthy Living Centre at Darwin Court. In return we can offer a competitive salary of £21,158 per annum. This role is offered on a 6 months FTC/Secondment.
The Receptionist will provide high quality customer service support to service users of the Healthy Living Centre which is a focus for community groups, as well as a space for residents, user-led activities and social events. Facilities and activities can be attended both by the general public and by Peabody residents, all in aim of encouraging individuals to maximise their health, wellbeing and independence and providing them with the necessary resources and opportunities.
Responsibilities of our Receptionist:
- Ensure receptionist duties are carried out efficiently, politely and calmly, including greeting visitors and handling telephone calls
- Ensure room bookings and activity programs are effectively processed
- Ensure all files are updated on the computer system and input accurate figures for KPI reporting
- Provide support and help with organising events held at the Centre
- Provide support to service managers
- Ensure purchase orders are raised and receipted correctly and source items on a computerised system
- Handle and record cash received
- Upsell centre products and services to service users
Skills and Experience required of our Receptionist:
- Good organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office suite
- Experience with working with the public and professionals
- Experience of cash handling
- An interest in a career in administration / office management
- Ability to deal with challenging behaviour
