Operational Support Officer: Children Services
Part-time role (18 Hours a week)
Pro-rata salary £12,568.50 - £13,741.50 per annum
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the recruitment of a Operational Support Officer within Children Services. The role will be based in the Business Support team.
The role will undertake statutory daily administrative tasks that require a good level of ICT knowledge in Word, Excel and experience of inputting into a database system. Prior knowledge of working with the Children Services Database would be an advantage, but it is not necessary.
Accuracy, organisational skills and the ability to work positively within in a team are crucial skills required for this job.
This role will be providing support to the Legal Planning/PLO (Public Law Outline) process
An important function in supporting the PLO process will be the co-ordination, tracking and chasing of PLO information. The successful applicant must have a good command of written English as well as having a high level of Excel skills which will be used to track key information on cases that are going through the PLO process onto an excel tracker/spreadsheet.
All tracked information will be reported to Senior Managers and therefore attention to detail is paramount.
Information processed and heard within Children Services can be highly sensitive and at times includes distressing content. For this reason, it important to consider this before applying.
The successful candidate will join an established team and will benefit from comprehensive training.
