Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is

driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a

result, we've developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our

Council.

We're one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse

London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools,

relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections

into the heart of the City.

Work Redbridge is a council run Job Brokerage service that supports Redbridge residents looking

for work, training, volunteering or with starting a business. The Work Redbridge team provide

targeted support to residents facing a range of barriers to employment.

The postholder will be part of the Work Redbridge team and will work closely with residents to

support them to engage with training, volunteering, work experience and progression into

employment.

As the Work Redbridge Adviser you will manage a caseload of clients, providing one to one information, advice and guidance and group sessions where applicable, with a focus on supporting vulnerable residents including lone parents, care leavers, those experiencing homelessness and those with a disability. You will be an integral part of the Work Redbridge Team, and support the work of other team members to achieve team priorities including meeting targets for externally funded provision, including DWP and ESF programmes.

We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of supporting a case load of people with complex barriers and meeting progression and job outcome targets.
