We work closely with other professionals in Croydon who support families with babies within the  first 1001 critical days which means we welcome anyone working with families during this crucial period to discuss concerns about the parent infant relationship.

About the role:

The PIP Keyworker will work directly with families with babies and/or children aged -0 months to 24 months that have been identified as benefiting from Parent Infant Psychotherapy (PIP) support, providing group and individual interventions with a particular focus on the parent child relationship. The work will be informed by the evidence base relating to early attachment and delivered as part of a plan, developed with the family and relevant Best Start Family Solutions team members.
The case load will include a number of families and children with complex and multiple problems that require individual support or alongside therapeutic intervention. The keyworker will take the role of lead professional where appropriate and work as part of the team around the family, working with, in particular, Health Visitors, midwifery teams, Social Workers, children’s centres and the Family Solutions team. 
In addition to taking the role of Lead Professional the worker will be required to provide advice and signposting for families, including coordinating the Child and Family Well-being Assessment and plan, as well as ensuring that information and advice enables families to access community universal and targeted services.
