The Independent Living Team is seeking an enthusiastic Team Manager to lead, manage and inspire a small team of Scheme Managers who work across six Independent Living schemes for older people in South West London which are Thornton Heath, Merton, Balham, Streatham and Roehampton, so you will be required to travel to these sites. 

You will ensure that the team delivers a high-quality housing management and support service ensuring customers’ needs are met and strategic objectives and team plans are successfully delivered. You'll play an important part in ensuring residents are supported to live independently within active communities.

You’ll also help set up the new services for a small and brand-new Extra Care scheme in Roehampton. We offer agile and flexible working, including the ability to work at home occasionally.

What you’ll need
With experience of managing a busy front-line service, ideally with a background in Sheltered Housing or Supported Housing, you’ll have excellent management skills and be able to lead and inspire a dispersed team to deliver a high quality, high performing, value for money customer focused service. As you will be supporting residents from diverse backgrounds, it is important that you have experience dealing with a range of customers from all walks of life. You’ll be a great communicator, with the ability to form relationships with a wide range of people, from residents to other agencies to generate effective solutions to problems. You’ll put residents at the heart of what you do and be focused on delivering excellent service with a ‘can do approach’.

In this fast-paced, varied role you’ll be able to effectively prioritise and manage your time, including being able to regularly travel between sites. You will need a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle. We will ensure that you have a lone working device as well as tools you’ll need to work within our safe operating procedures in response to Covid-19.
