The Role
This is a great opportunity to join our Property Management team as the Senior Technical Compliance Manager, you will hold the responsibility of ensuring Camden’s educational premises comply with statutory requirements and best practice.
 

You will ensure that community school buildings and children's centres which are owned by the Local Authority, are being managed and serviced by the school management as well as provide advice to VA and PFI schools. You will act as an expert with a focus on water hygiene, gas safety, electrical safety, asbestos, boundary wall, safe access, insurance inspections and fire safety compliance.


In this role you will provide advice on legal responsibilities for managing and maintaining school buildings and land, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory standards.


You will be responsible for establishing and managing policies, practices, and technical standards to ensure compliance and manage risk, contributing to the Camden Plan objective of having the best schools in the country.


This role is subject to a standard DBS check.

About You

You will hold a degree or equivalent with a proven track record in managing buildings. You will have significant experience in facilities management and applying your knowledge of the building compliance process in an educational setting. You will be able to bring a detailed knowledge of health and safety legislation and understanding of our responsibilities within the current climate.

You will have the ability to competently manage fire safety programmes of work, water quality management, lifting equipment, pressure systems and asbestos. You will be able to undertake audits and monitor that all actions are closed within the given timeframe.

You will be a team player with excellent communication and negotiation skills. As well as this, you’ll be able to work on your own initiative and be a problem solver.
