3 new trainee posts have become available in the Council’s Legal Service.  The first two Trainee Solicitors are required to start at the end of January 2022, and the third Trainee Solicitor is required to start in July 2022.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals.

We will consider applications from those who have already successfully completed their LPC and who are eligible for admission on successful completion of their training contract, to the Law Society’s Roll of Solicitors in England and Wales.

We are located in Brent Council’s impressive Civic Centre, right next to Wembley stadium and just a 12-minute train ride from Baker Street and a 21-minute train ride from Kings Cross.

The Post

During your two-year Training Contract, you’ll spend six months in three ‘seats’ gaining experience in a number of key practice areas, in. In each seat, you will have a supervisor who acts as your work provider and mentor, while the Council’s  Director of Legal Services oversees your progress. As a Trainee with us, you will have a busy and varied caseload working in a supportive team with a public service ethos.

The Person

We are looking for talented, ambitious and flexible individuals who can demonstrate a commitment to working in the public sector.

As well as having an excellent academic record you will have a love of learning and developing, and an enthusiasm for working flexibly and proactively within a supportive team environment, building productive relationships with clients and colleagues.
