EMAS are seeking an Arabic speaking bilingual liaison worker to work with secondary age pupils from refugee and unaccompanied asylum seeking backgrounds.

About the role

The post involves supporting newly arrived pupils in secondary schools across Brighton and Hove. The role is to support the pupils access the curriculum and learning using their Arabic and pre-existing skills and knowledge. You must be confident in written and spoken English and have experience of the secondary curriculum in particular in English, mathematics and sciences. There is close supervision of this role and support and training will be offered.

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
