An enthusiastic Fair Trading Officer is required to join the Trading Standards Team.

About the role

We are looking to recruit a Fair Trading Officer to undertake a range of Trading Standards duties to secure a fair and safe trading environment. This is achieved through advice, investigation of complaints and enforcement of statutory criminal and civil provisions to ensure that the public are not put at risk from the sale and/or use of unsafe or dangerous products and to ensure their economic wellbeing is maintained by protecting them from illegal or unfair trading practices.

Some of the work the team has been involved with recently includes tackling illicit and counterfeit tobacco/alcohol and cold calling scams.

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
