This is an exciting time for Redbridge as we are seeking to recruit a Practice Manager to join our fast paced, award winning Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team. The Redbridge MASH was described as a “model of excellence” in the 2019 Ofsted inspection, where Redbridge Children’s Services was graded “Outstanding”. The MASH won 3 team awards in 2019 as well as staff being nominated for and wining individual awards in both the Redbridge Council and Social Care awards. The team is known for having innovative ideas, good supervision, regular reflective space, excellent learning opportunities and nurtures professional development.
This post reports to a Team Manager, the successful candidate will have excellent support and development opportunities, as well as a structure and manner of working that embraces individual creativity and commitment.
We expect you to deliver excellence in all aspects of social work and safeguarding. Your expertise, passion and creativity will ensure that each individual child and young person experiences services which enable them to develop and achieve their dreams and aspirations. Your work will demonstrate a commitment to a joined-up approach with our partner agencies and most importantly, with young people, their families and carers. You will need to be able to motivate and support a staff group working in a busy and challenging environment and promote a culture of continuous improvement. You will have extensive experience of working with vulnerable children, young people and their families at a management level.
You will also have a detailed understanding of the Children’s Act, relevant legislation policies and procedures, and have relevant experience working in Child Protection and Assessment Services. You will be Social Work England registered and have a recognised social work qualification.
