About the Job

Compliance Officer - Private Sector Housing

 £34,884 - £37,722 per annum

The Compliance Officer role is within the regulatory and compliance side of Property Licensing. It will require the inspection of private rented dwellings to ensure license conditions are being adhered to, checking the standards of management and identifying any potential housing disrepair.  You will ensure a high number of inspections are carried out to strict deadlines, whilst being customer focused. Your attention will also be on the detecting of criminality, gathering evidence and ensuring this is acted upon.  All with a view to improving housing standards and putting people at the heart of everything you do. For this role, you must have a full UK driving licence and use of a vehicle.

 About You

 As a Compliance Officer you will be organised and flexible in your approach to work. You will have excellent customer service and communication skills.   You may be required to work early mornings, late evenings and/or weekends on a regular basis. You will need to provide an excellent service to landlords, owners, occupiers and tenants in all tenures.  You will be part of a team of high performing officers and are expected to ensure  you work efficiently, continually monitor and meet your  targets and provide a quality service and to effect change where required.   You will need to have the aptitude and experience of using technology to input and access information using various IT systems (Excel, Word, databases etc)
