Individual Needs Assistant (Level B)
Job introduction
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Individual Needs Assistant to join our team. The post involves supporting two pupils with communication and interaction needs (Reception & Year 4).
Paid weeks per year: 47.15 inclusive of holiday entitlement
Monday to Friday 08:30 - 15:10 (with a 10 min morning break and a 30 min lunch break)
Fixed term: Linked to pupil and funding
Start date: As soon as possible
About the role
The post involves supporting a Reception child and a Year 4 child (both of whom have communication and interaction needs), working closely with members of our inclusion team to support their access to the curriculum. You will need to be able to build good relationships with children, parents/carers, key staff members and outside agencies to ensure good progress for the children you will be working with.
You will have knowledge of autism spectrum condition and be resourceful, resilient, able to work flexibly and be confident in using your initiative to meet the needs of those you are supporting. Prior experience of working with children with additional needs is essential.
