Islington HR is reshaping its services. We’re realigning our service provision to put digital, learning and innovation at the heart of what we do. We’re creating 3 new functions – HR Customer Delivery, Organisational Development and Strategic HR Partnering. Our vision is to be a trusted professional partner, empowering our managers and people to thrive and deliver better services for Islington. By joining the team, you’ll play a vital role in enabling this, putting fairness and equality at the heart of everything we do – in our communities and our workplace.
We are creating a new Employee Relations team and have a part time permanent vacancy opportunity for someone to join our team for 2 days per week (14 hours per week).
You will provide expert advice to managers on the application of the council's policies and on the legal and best practice implications of employment issues. You will build successful partnership working with Trade Union colleagues and promote a positive working environment. You will support casework on a wide range of Human Resources issues and lead on the implementation of change management programmes.
Our HR vision is to be a trusted professional partner, empowering our managers and people to thrive and deliver better services for Islington.
If you think you have the knowledge and skills to play a part in achieving our vision and if you’re ready to grab every opportunity with both hands, then we look forward to receiving your application.
In return for your knowledge and skills, we offer a vast range of staff benefits here at Islington such as:
- up to 30 days leave per year with more for long service!
- A range of flexible working arrangements
