The Post
 
We welcome applications from individuals who know ‘what good looks like’ in the context of exploitation and will seize the opportunity to shape service delivery. The candidate will be responsible for:
  • Leading on embedding assessment of contexts within the Child &Family assessments to recognise and identify extra familial abuse and risks and threading into the care planning process to include use of contextual plans that target risk and increase safety in the contexts
  • Leading on developing Contextual conference approach
  • Offering case consultation to social workers
  • Overseeing data analysis and lead on the development of mapping of contextual intelligence
  • Acting as a nominated contextual safeguarding lead/champion, collaborating and linking with the work of the Centre of Excellence in terms of whole system, policy and practice change and development
  • Being linked to the Contextual Safeguarding Network
  • Supporting and collaborating with the Centre of Excellent in capacity and capability development of key contextual safeguarding partners/stakeholders to adopt contextual safeguarding approach.
  • Being trained as a trainer in Contextual Safeguarding
  • Being involved in complex strategy meeting
 
The Person
 
We are looking for an experienced qualified Social Worker and registered social worker (SWE), the successful candidate will be someone with appropriate experience in children’s social care and strong knowledge of the arrangements for safeguarding children together with a proven ability to work with and maintain excellent partnerships. You will need to have experience of chairing meetings. .
You need to be highly professional, with a comprehensive understanding of harm and abuse as well as data protection, local and national policies and procedures. You will need to be self-motivated and have excellent communication skills both oral and written.
