Project Manager - Capital Delivery for Homes and Schools
London Borough of Croydon’s Capital Delivery for Homes and Schools Team is responsible for the delivery of the Councils primary, secondary, SEND education capital expansion and maintenance programme, and a wide range of planned maintenance and major improvements to the Council’s housing stock and other major projects. The team manage a large capital programme from inception to completion, delivering projects on budget, on programme and to a high standard of quality. The team also occasionally delivers works projects for the corporate estate. Stakeholder engagement is also a key feature of our work.
As part of the Capital Delivery for Homes and Schools Team and working with the Head of Service and Programme Manager, the Project Manager will be responsible for the successful implementation of a portfolio of diverse projects including maintenance and reactive works, new build construction, remodelling and refurbishment of existing schools, homes and other Council assets.
The post holder will ensure effective and efficient project management of a wide range of complex projects and programmes of work from project inception to completion, meeting design and specification briefs, statutory compliance, budget control and delivery of quality outputs.
The successful candidate will have relevant industry experience and have a thorough knowledge of construction project management, contract administration, the operation of building contracts, supported by substantial proven experience in the planning and delivery of projects in complex environments and organisations.
