Hours per week: 35 hours per week, 8.30am – 4.30pm. 39 weeks per year

Scargill Infant School is seeking to employ an Administration Officer to join our friendly and supportive school commencing as soon as possible in September 2020. Scargill Infant School is part of Hornchurch Academy Trust which offers excellent opportunities for training, support, career development and sharing best practice amongst its five schools.
The person appointed will be a member of the school support staff, one of a team responsible for making sure that the efficient and effective organisation and administration of school processes, procedures and policies delivers the best possible service to all stakeholders.
The Administration Officer is often a first point of contact and is, therefore, expected to demonstrate exemplary customer service to both internal and external customers and be able to resolve problems and complaints in a sensitive manner.
You will be expected to have a methodical and organised approach to the role and be an approachable and adaptable personality with a good sense of humour!
It is highly desirable that you will be:
- Experienced of working within a school or similar environment
- Experienced in working with school systems i.e. FMS/SIMS/Arbor
- Experienced in working with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellet verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and understanding of GDPR and safeguarding
- The ability to work well under pressure
