We now need an exceptional Traffic Schemes Engineer to further our ambitions for a cleaner, safer, prouder borough that works together with our residents.
About the role
As a Traffic Schemes Engineer, you will lead and coordinate engineering projects from inception to completion, carrying out engineering duties that can include technical advice, feasibility exercises, surveys, investigations, and reports, including all work associated with the design and construction of projects. Where required, you will have the platform to deputise for the Senior Engineer ensuring continuity on the provision of a quality service.
About you
You will bring a proven track record of contributing to, and in some cases, leading and coordinating projects. As you progress you will be given increasing responsibility and you will be able to show your innovative approach to problem solving and finding solutions to challenging projects. Experience of engineering in a highway, traffic and parking service will be hugely beneficial as would a recognised professional qualification in engineering.
In addition to the technical requirements of this role you will be a great team player, able to build relationships and trust, take responsibility and have an attitude that’s consistent with our progressive, hardworking and collaborative team.
However, these are not the only skills we are looking for. For more information on the specific competencies associated with this role, in addition to an overview of Havering, click here to view the job profile.
