We deliver applied psychology in a range of ways across the Local Authority as part of an integrated support service.
You would be part of Brighton & Hove Inclusion Support Service (BHISS) which includes teams delivering a range of evidence-based support to schools, working in partnership with children, families and colleagues across a range of services. Our EP practice involves using consultation, assessment, intervention, research and evaluation, training, and working systemically with schools and settings. We have successfully established partial buy-back service with schools whilst maintaining a statutory and core service delivery across the city.
Colleagues working in BHISS alongside Educational Psychologists include: Specialist teachers (linked with autism, language, early years, SEMH, sensory needs), primary mental health workers (linking with CAMHS), and specialist practitioners working with Children and Young People and their families (linked with early years, mental health and behaviour

About the role
We are looking for creative, innovative practitioners who are passionate about improving the social, emotional and educational lives of children and young people through working collaboratively as part of our innovative team. There will also be opprtunities to contribute to strategic and systemic interventions that support schools in becoming more inclusive in meeting the needs of a wide range of children and young people.
- A University honours degree in Psychology or a qualification recognised as equivalent by the British Psychological Society(Graduate Basis for Registration or GBR).
-MSc or Doctoral professional qualification in Educational Psychology. Trainee EPs in Year 3 of a doctoral programme are encouraged to apply.
