A new opportunity has arisen in our Adult Social Care Division for the post of Team Manager. We are undergoing an exciting change in terms of how we work with our residents, and this role will be instrumental in helping us deliver high quality services to the communities we serve. This will include developing and improving our Integrated Care System in collaboration with health colleagues from across the NHS.

We are looking for exceptional applicants with experience of  managing busy Social Work teams, or you might be a senior practitioner who is ready to move into a team manager role. You will need to be a highly knowledgeable and effective social work practitioner and manager, who can inspire staff to work in a strengths based way to promote the wellbeing and independence of the residents of Waltham Forest. You will need a detailed working knowledge of the Care Act, safeguarding protocols, Court of Protection work, Deprivation of Liberty safeguards/DoL’s and the Hospital Discharge guidance issued by the Department for Health and Social Care.

You will manage a team of qualified and unqualified social care staff. You will have a passionate focus on high quality practice and performance, particularly in terms of Care Act assessments and reviews, the timely conclusion of safeguarding cases, and assessments under the Hospital Discharge guidance for existing service users. In conjunction with practice managers, you will promote a culture of supportive supervision as well as monthly quality assurance.

You will demonstrate your ability to promote an encouraging and inspiring sense of team cohesion as well as supporting newly qualified social workers through their ASYE year.
