About the role

An exciting opportunity for 2 experienced teachers to join our Autism and Language Team within Brighton and Hove Inclusion Support Service (BHISS).

We are seeking 2 specialist SEN teachers who can support mainstream schools to effectively include pupils with autism and language difficulties.

We wish to fill one full-time post on a permanent basis, and one 0.8 FTE post on a fixed term/secondment basis.

Expertise and experience of teaching and supporting autistic pupils is essential. Additional expertise and experience of teaching and supporting pupils with developmental language disorder is desirable but not essential. These roles are primarily focused on supporting mainstream primary and secondary schools, and therefore experience and expertise teaching across  KS1,2 3 and 4 is desirable. BHISS is based in County Oak Avenue, but the majority of time is spent visiting schools across the city in an advisory teacher role. A car is NOT essential.

Applicants for previous teaching  posts within the autism and language team are welcome to reapply.
