Repairs Contracts and Quality Team

The newly created Repairs Contracts and Quality Team will be at the heart of bringing that vision to life, supporting the implementation of our new target operating model, ensuring our responsive repairs and cyclical works programmes are designed and delivered with our residents at the heart, whilst ensuring services are delivered to budget and quality standards.

We are looking for an exceptional senior manager to lead our newly created Repairs, Contracts and Quality Team. You will lead a team of nine with four direct reports providing a strong contract management and quality assurance framework whilst ensuring a responsive and resident focussed surveying function is in place to complement and support the work of Enfield Repairs Direct our in-house repairs contractor.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Create a culture of learning, coaching and developing people through effective leadership across Repairs Contracts and Quality and the wider Repairs and Estate Service Department.
  • Provide a strong strategic client function driving quality, continuous improvement and value for money across all responsive repairs contracts both and externally delivered.
  • Oversee financial and performance management of all responsive repairs and cyclical contracts, including oversight of income and expenditure and reporting against Enfield Repairs Direct 5-year business plan.
  • Lead a strong surveying function to deliver a high quality, cost effective and efficient service in relation to legal disrepair, party wall disputes, permissions, as well as pre and post inspections in line with the departmental quality assurance framework
  • Act as the deputy to the Head of Repairs and Estate Services

To be successful in the role:

You will be an exceptional leader with a successful track record in designing and implementing strategic quality assurance and improvement frameworks to deliver sustainable improvements in a responsive repairs and contract management environment.

You will excel in motivating and leading a team through change and will bring a strong understanding of the social housing sector and good practice, legislative and regulatory framework for delivering responsive repairs.

The service is provided 24 hours a day 365 days per year and the successful candidate will regularly participate in an on-call rota for which additional payments will be made. In addition, the role will regularly require attendance at evening and weekend meetings and events for which TOIL will be made available.
