Young Carers Sessional Worker - Sc1-Sc4
Waltham Forest 0-18 Early Help service is recruiting a sessional Youth Worker to be part of the Young Carers Project.
The project offers a number of respite activities and opportunities for young carers and their families. This includes regular club sessions, off-site activities, residential trips, workshops, accredited learning and development opportunities.
The sessional worker will be required to support the project team and the youth worker in charge. This will include assisting in collecting young carers from their homes, and providing support for the return journey, (transport and driver will be arranged and provided by the service).
The sessional worker will be required to support delivery of sessions, supervise young carers, prepare light snacks and refreshments and lead groups. The sessions will be geared towards meeting the “Families” divisional priorities of being Safe, Well, Connected, Resilient and Independent.
Additional work and hours may be available during term holidays, summer holidays, activities and programmes.
We are looking for people who have passion and drive to support children and young people, and more specifically young carers and their families in Waltham Forest.
