Job introduction

There is an exciting opportunity for you to join Brighton & Hove City Councils City Transport Team.

Our award-winning Parking Services Group is looking for 3 new Senior Parking Services Supervisors to join our busy, customer focused, Appeals Team.

About the role

We have an opportunity to join our Parking Department working  as a supervisor within a team that deals with PCN appeals and parking debt recovery. This is an exciting and challenging role which will focus on all aspects of PCN enforcement and appeals.

You will be dealing directly with the public, within the customer service centre and will also be handling calls from drivers who have been contacted by external enforcement agents. Part of you duties will be to dispense advice on court procedures and the PCN appeals process from the point of issue through to court warrant. This is a fast paced and demanding place to work so you will need to be able to deliver under pressure and have an ability to understand traffic law and regulations.

You will also need to consider welfare and vulnerability in relation to parking debt in line with Council and government guidelines. As part of a team of supervisors you will also be expected to provide regular support to the customer service officers by handling escalated enquiries and providing advice and guidance.

For an informal discussion, please contact Hannah Boakye Parking Services Manager: hannah.boakye@brighton-hove.gov.uk

TO APPLY - as part of your application, you will need to answer some branching questions. To help you, some guidance has been attached to the advert below.
