DEPARTMENT: Planning Enforcement                                                                       

JOB TITLE: PLANNING ENFORCEMENT OFFICER X1

PAY: £27,978 - £37,722 plus £3,000 market supplement

We are looking to recruit three permanent Planning Enforcement Officers who are experienced, motivated and enthusiastic to join our Planning Enforcement Team. Essentially this will involve the reactive and pro-active enforcing of breaches of planning control including unauthorised developments, untidy land, advertising and unauthorised changes of use.

The appointed officers will have a relevant Planning qualification and/or experience and display a commitment to strong enforcement actions using the full range of available powers. Displaying excellent verbal and written communication skills, and flexibility in working patterns and practices, the successful candidate will play a central role in the delivery of Planning Enforcement objectives.

Appointed officers will ensure that all aspects of commerciality are fully integrated into their day to day role as a front-line field officer.

The Council will offer appropriate support to successful candidates in their professional development.

We are looking for a motivated and dedicated officer with a demonstrable commitment to top quality regulatory services, with relevant qualifications and/or experience
