About Croydon:
Working for Croydon, you will have the opportunity to be part of a newly developed clinical service, which is innovative and dynamic.
We are looking for Lead Psychologist, to join our clinical service at a time of exciting and positive changes. Working alongside our Head of Service for Systemic, Clinical Practice and Adolescent Services, you will be leading on developing a psychological service in a number of service areas; children looked after, youth offending service, our early help service and education. We are creating clinical services that are bespoke for the communities that we serve, enabling flexibility and timely responses. We are keen to recruit a lead psychologist who is passionate about practices that hold in mind the importance of well-being through relational practices, an understanding of social conditions and power. There will be opportunities to input clinically into the Children Looked After and Care Leavers service if the successful candidate has a specialist interest and the relevant experience in this area.
We have a clear practice framework which privileges relationship based practice as a medium for change and we have invested in a whole systems approach to systemic training for all staff.
About you:
Highly experienced, accredited and registered as a clinical psychologist, with a proven track record in creating, implementing and evaluating clinical services. You will be responsible for the creation, provision and governance of a high quality specialist and forensic psychology service. You will be able you to use your experience and skills within a statutory children’s service to effect positive outcomes for children and young people. You will be keen to practice privileging the importance of relationships, effectively engaging with our residents, partners, managers, social worker and practitioners; ensuring that our children and young people are safe with limited disruption to their caring arrangements.
