ESOL Subject Coordinator 0.5 FTE
Waltham Forest Adult Learning Service is the local authority’s direct provider of adult and community education and work-based training. Officially rated as “Good” following our OFSTED inspection in July 2016.
We are seeking a committed 0.5 FTE ESOL Subject Coordinator.
This is a large and successful department with c. 500 learners enrolled per semester. The successful applicant will undertake responsibility for the co-ordination and development of high quality and relevant ESOL programmes in line with current Ofsted and funder requirements. This role includes a 125 hour teaching commitment per year.
You will need the skills, knowledge and experience to:
- ensure delivery of high quality teaching, learning and assessment, and to drive quality improvement
- ensure the effective monitoring, reporting and improvement of learner outcomes including progression to further study and employment
- monitor and ensure quality processes are in place to meet the requirements of external awarding and funding bodies
