Talent and Learning Manager
Can you help us deliver tangible change through our talent and learning service?
We’re looking for an experienced Talent and Learning Manager to continue the development and running of our proactive learning and talent management service. As part of the newly launched HR service, we will look to you to manage a team of Learning and Talent professionals, and an organisational learning budget to ensure we deliver innovative and inclusive talent management interventions and a learning service that supports the business to meet various objectives and external requirements.
Working alongside a business partnering group who understand our different departments’ aims and objectives, we will look to you to be the organisation’s expert across the talent and learning space including digital learning, workforce planning and career pathways, management empowerment and leadership development, statutory learning requirements, apprenticeships and graduate schemes.
Key priorities for this year are to continue the development of our Learning and Talent service with clear strategies, continue to embed and develop our new Learning Management system, ensure learning covering all mandatory and statutory requirements are easily accessible and reportable, further develop our apprenticeship and career entry strategies and review our management and leadership offerings to ensure inclusivity. We will also expect you to bring together the learning and talent aspects across NHG’s race action plan and identify interventions that can improve our workforce capability, diversity and engagement, with a specific focus on manager capability.
We value personal responsibility, collaboration and integrity and hope you do too! Your job here will be challenging so you’ll already be confident in proposing and delivering strategies for businesses with varied commercial demands and complex risk profiles. In return you’ll have the opportunity to put your stamp on a new and prominent aspect of our HR service and raise your profile within the organisation.
Joining our new team now, you’ll benefit from the roll out of a new learning management system and a myriad of other tech and process-based improvements as we embark on a wider HR transformation programme. Come and be part of this change. Whether you’re helping an individual department solve an issue, delivering outcomes in our action plan on achieving improvement in race equality, or establishing organisation wide talent development strategies, you will effect tangible change.
