Programme Manager
Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we've developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.
We're one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the City.
This is an exciting time to join us here at Redbridge and there are many opportunities to improve the lives of vulnerable people and children.
Our ambition is to create an inclusive, modern organisation with a culture of openness, customer focus and collaboration.
We care for the people who work for us. We want them to feel their days with us are the very best in their careers. We believe that supporting people to grow and achieve is good for everyone.
We are looking for a Programme Manager in the People Directorate with the following attributes and experience:
- High quality leadership skills and a track record of leading change within a complex organisation.
- Strong understanding of programme and project management methodologies and techniques.
- Breadth of knowledge of delivering public sector services.
- An inclusive leadership style and a strong commitment to equality and diversity, as a manager, a colleague, and as a provider of services to our community.
In return, we offer an exciting opportunity to work in a progressive, local authority with a strong commitment to innovation and continuous improvement, where you can use your expertise to make a positive impact on our organisation and communities.
They will lead the People Directorate Programme Management Office heading up a skilled team to develop our transformation programme across adult social care, children’s services and public health.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter able to work with little supervision and have management responsibility for up to 6 staff. The post holder would ideally have worked within project management in a health or social care environment and have a good working knowledge of programme and project management.
If you require further information about the role, please contact David Evans (david.evans@redbridge.gov.uk) for an informal discussion.
