Would you like the opportunity to work in an important role working across a diverse Directorate within the Commercial Team?
BHCC’s Commercial Team is looking for Finance and Administration Officer to lead and support our teams with full financial responsibility and general administration duties. This is a fast-paced role with a wide area of responsibility within a key revenue generation service. This is a great opportunity to work within Brighton and Hove City Council and there may be further opportunities within this role as the Commercial Team grows and new services are introduced.
About the role
Working from our operational depot within the waste management sector, you will be responsible for all aspects of finance and administration including data logging, compliance checks, financial trackers, manual invoicing and target budgeted management. The service has revenue in excess of £1m and you will use the Microsoft package daily, especially complicated Excel spreadsheets and Word to manage and track income and expenditure as well as many other finance functions. You will be supported by colleagues throughout your work and will receive training on aspects for the role that are specific to Brighton and Hove City Council. Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
