The Arts and Culture service is seeking a Welcome Back Fund Officer to support the team with a wide range of initiatives across the city. This will include cultural activity linked to high streets and the promenade.

About the role

Brighton & Hove City Council are seeking an experienced administrator/officer to develop, manage, coordinate and deliver a range of projects, with a focus on delivering the Welcome Back Fund (WBF)  programme and promoting the safe and attractive return from COVID-19, in line with the WBF guidance.  You will work with colleagues across council services and other partners locally, ensuring that the WBF requirement to engage with stakeholders is met. Strong administrative skills and the ability to absorb financial and procurement information alongside good communication skills are required. A working knowledge of managing projects also important.

Join us at Brighton and Hove City Council to build on our successful track record of supporting the return from COVID-19 at this important time, as we focus on recovery and future growth.  This role is part of a team that that is moving forward with the city's Welcome Back Fund initiatives and working with our partners across the city. The post holder will provide the administrative and project support which contributes to the success of the team. As a main contact point for the fund, the successful candidate will have experience of working with the public, of handling written correspondence, organising meetings, events and contractors.

This is an ideal role for an ambitious administrator who can operate effectively with a varied workload, can contribute well to written material and manage complex systems in a large organisation. Experienced at supporting funding bids and in following financial processes, the successful candidate will also enjoy working with the public and have a friendly manner.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
