The Post

 

We are recruiting an environmental protection specialist to join our Nuisance Control Team. You will assist in the delivery of a high profile service responsible for the investigation and resolution of a range of nuisance issues.  As a source of expertise on noise pollution matters in commercial and domestic settings you will also be expected to utilise this in the fulfilment of your role as a statutory consultee for licensing and planning applications.


The Person

We are looking for a proactive and committed person with a strong customer focus, exceptional communication skills and a practical approach to enforcement.

 

You will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of successful enforcement in a similar regulatory role. You must possess Environmental Health enforcement experience either as a qualified Environmental Health officer or educated to degree level in a relevant discipline. You must also be willing to work nights and weekends as the team operates on a shift basis.

 

Candidates able to demonstrate their application of a post graduate acoustic qualification relevant to noise controls in a local authority setting will attract a higher salary.
