Housing is a top priority for Hackney. Ensuring that we deliver a high quality, customer focussed repairs service across our 30,000 homes is paramount. We have recently remodelled our repairs service to match our aspirations and are now looking for a contract management professional to help use drive delivery and promote a performance focussed culture.

As Performance and Contracts Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring effective management of our building maintenance contracts and delivering on related customer, operational and financial targets. The role will demand forensic analysis of areas of the business to drive improvement, helping us to ensure that we promote continuous improvement and secure value for money. You will additionally lead on the reprocurement and mobilisation of new contracts as required and support staff on the ground to manage contracted work to a high standard.

The ideal candidate will have substantial knowledge of commercial and contract management practices within the building maintenance industry, along with a strong track record of managing working relationships with contractors successfully. With strong commercial awareness and negotiating skills, you will be adept at identifying opportunities for service improvement and savings. You must demonstrate excellent analytical, financial and problem-solving skills and have experience of implementing contractual changes and introducing new ways of working successfully.
