Job introduction

We are looking to appoint a suitable candidate to take on the new role of deputy SENDCo. The successful candidate will have experience of working in schools and have a proven record of working with and supporting families and children with SEN and vulnerable pupils.

Paid weeks per year: 47.15 inclusive of holiday entitlement

Start date: To be confirmed

 

 

About the role

The Deputy SENDCo will work closely with the school’s SENDCo to manage and lead the Learning Support faculty. The successful candidate will support the SENDCo to lead the schools teaching assistants including recruitment, probationary periods, timetabling and training. The Deputy SENDCo will also assist with the development, co-ordination and delivery of Education, Health and Care Plans and undertake annual reviews.

The deputy SENDCo will have a whole school role of promoting the ideal of the inclusion and acceptance of all students.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
