Job introduction
Patcham Junior School are looking to appoint an exceptional teacher to join the team at our thriving, inclusive school.
Paid weeks per year: 52
Start date: September 2021
About the role
By working with our polite, hardworking and enthusiastic pupils you will be joining a group of talented and dedicated adults that believe that every child matters and that strive to ensure that each pupil gets the very best educational experience possible.
If your personal philosophy, energy and determination is to unlock the potential in everyone you work with, then we would love to hear from you.
Visits to our school are strongly encouraged so that you can see first-hand what makes Patcham Junior School a really special place to learn and teach.
Tours of the school will take place after the school day and will adhere to all social distancing requirements and Covid-Secure procedures; however, we are confident you will still get a flavour of life teaching at PJS. Please contact the school office to confirm your place on one of the tours as spaces will be limited.
School tour dates (all 4pm) – Thursday 6th May / Tuesday 11th May / Thursday 13th May
We are acutely aware of the challenges that trainee teachers have faced in the last two academic years, therefore we would be most interested to hear from teachers that can demonstrate excellent potential from their teaching practices.
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are warmly encouraged to apply however experienced teachers (up to M6) are also welcome to apply.
ECT teachers are not expected to lead a subject in their first year, however an interest in the leadership of PE from the right candidate would be of potential interest, but is not essential and should not dissuade anyone from applying.
If we sound like the school for you and you have the exceptional skills, teaching philosophy and personality to thrive at our school, then apply to Alister Sutherland, Headteacher, using the standard Brighton and Hove application form.
Closing date: Midday, Thursday 20th May
Interview date: 24th May
Completed application forms accepted by email/post direct to the school address:
Ladies Mile Road, Brighton, BN1 8TA, email: applications@patchamjun.brighton-hove.sch.uk
