At Crownfield Junior, we believe in working as a team for the children that we are responsible for and care for. We believe that our children are at the centre of all we do, encouraging and supporting them to be the best that they can be. We treat the children as individuals and understand that their needs are unique to them. We are extremely proud of our school and the broad curriculum we offer.
We are currently expanding from a three form to a four form entry and have a brand new expansion building opening in September. There is a studio hall for the teaching of music with specially laid flooring for acoustics. We also have a bespoke music curriculum written by our current music specialist which meets needs all of the new Ofsted requirements.
We are partners with the Mawney School as the Learning and Achieving Federation through which we are exchanging good practice and resources to continue our journeys forward.
Our Ofsted Report in June 2018 stated:
‘The school has a strong culture of care. Pupils are extremely polite and well behaved. In lessons, they are engaged in their learning and listen to one another respectfully’.
Crownfield Junior School has a long history of promoting music by the employment of a music teacher/specialist and we are looking for the right person to join our happy, supportive team and continue the high standards of music teaching and extracurricular opportunities our children receive. This would include singing assemblies choirs, bands, music concerts, trips and school productions.
The days needed are Monday to Thursday every week. We would like to appoint an enthusiastic, organised person who:
- Can demonstrate excellent classroom teaching and learning with high expectations of pupil progress and attainment
- Has experience of organising extracurricular activities linked to the love of music
- Is able to challenge, motivate and support pupils of all abilities and needs
- Is passionate about the teaching and learning of the whole child and is flexible to new ideas
- Works well as part of a team
- Is pro-active and can demonstrate a willingness to participate fully in all aspects of school life
We are lucky to be set in beautiful grounds. Our children are great to work with: polite, enthusiastic, hard working with a sense of fun! We have a very supportive staff who work together for the good of the children – they have a sense of humour too!
We can offer you a tour around our school but would need to adhere to current Covid restrictions and guidance. I am available to contact at any time during the day, please phone our reception on 01708 747070. You may also wish to look at our website and blog for further information.
Interviews will be via video conferencing and will include a paper task.
