To support our work within the context of our Inclusion Strategy, we are seeking to appoint 2 main grade Educational Psychologists.   We are looking for applicants with enthusiasm, drive and commitment to promoting the wellbeing and inclusion of all children and young people. 
Newham EPS is closely involved in developing approaches to statutory, preventative and strategic improvement planning during a period of significant change. In addition, we offer a range of workstreams including traded services to pre-school settings, schools, colleges and LA services including the Child Development Service as well as statutory work. We continue to support schools with ‘Wellbeing for Education Return’ during the pandemic.
Newham EPS is committed to improving the life chances for all our children and young people. If appointed to this role you will deliver evidence-based, high quality psychological services to children, young people and families. You will share our commitment to integrated working, delivering targeted interventions and services to the highest standards.
We are looking for EPs currently in training or fully qualified and registered with the HCPC. Educational Psychologists with strong skills in consultation and assessment and with a good knowledge of legislation.  You will have excellent written and verbal skills and be able to work with a range of other professionals in schools and other council departments and with parents and carers.  Full time and part time applicants are welcomed.
A high priority is given to induction, supervision, reflective practice and continuous professional development and to maintaining a high level of professional competence.

As part of our retention strategy, mainscale EPs will receive an annual SPA point automatically until point 8 is achieved (Soulbury A scale) in addition to the annual increment.
