Team Manager - Sensory Team
Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we've developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.
We're one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the City.
Redbridge SEN is in an enviable position in their service to children with special educational needs and an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Manager – for our newly created Sensory Team. (Specialist Education and Training Support Service).
SEaTSS is a new team led by a Head of Service and 2 Deputy Heads of Service.
The Service was formed through the merger of 6 individual Outreach Services with a Key focus to develop early intervention. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of around 50 staff members working across 4 teams. Each team has a Team Leader with responsibility for; day-to-day management of their team as well as maintaining a personal caseload (of 0.6).
Our Service will be completed In September 2021 with the arrival of the VI Team which will provide the opportunity to create a new joint VI/HI Sensory Team, to be led by a skilled and experienced Practioner who must hold one of the Mandatory Qualifications.
SEaTSS is looking for a positive and creative Team Leader to join us to support the development of this exciting new Sensory Team. If you are a highly self-motivated individual with expertise and experience in sensory impairment, either as a QTVI or ToD, this may be the ideal opportunity for you to join our highly recognised service.
