Job introduction

The governors are seeking to appoint an Administration Assistant to join our busy and dedicated office team.  The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting with general office routines as specified in the job description.

We invite applications from suitably qualified motivated and enthusiastic candidates. 

Paid weeks per year: 46 inclusive of holiday entitlement

Start date: As soon as possible

 

 

About the role

The successful candidate will need:

  • Suitable and successful experience of working in a busy office, preferably within a school environment, although training will be given.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Competency in numeracy, literacy and ICT, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Very good communication and inter-personal skills.
  • The ability to fit in and work as part of a successful and busy team.
  • To recognise the confidentiality of the role.
  • Ability to work extra hours when required.
  • A good sense of humour

To be considered for the role, it is essential that you have a warm personality, a welcoming demeanour and a hands on, active and positive approach to all tasks. As you will be liaising with parents frequently, you must have an excellent command of spoken and written English, a clear speaking voice and an excellent telephone manner. Confidence in ICT skills is also very important.  At Westdene we actively encourage progression and are keen to develop the responsibilities of the role.
