Build the Change Programme Director
Build the Change Programme Director
Salary: HOS2 £59,733 to £77,301
Full Time (36 hours), Fixed Term until March 2023
Our Build the Change programme will rationalise our operational portfolio and change our working culture as we accelerate smarter ways of working in a post Covid environment.
We have already commenced the programme and have funding approved in our Capital Programme to deliver a number of Service Hubs and refurbishment and reconfiguration of our Civic Centre.
Work on a Housing and Homelessness Hub starts shortly in Edmonton Green and detailed design is underway on a Children and Families Hub in Enfield Town.
Next steps involve the relocation of a number of teams in outlying offices to the Civic Centre and the creation of a Wellbeing and Mental Health Hub.
As Programme Director you will lead on ensuring the smooth delivery of these projects on time and in budget, working closely with services to ensure their needs are met and that they are engaged and supported through the associated cultural change.
You’ll work closely with Digital Services, HR and Organisational Development, Operational Property and FM on designing and delivering elements of the programme.
Reporting to the Director of Property & Economy you’ll support him in updating the Council’s Executive Management Team, Strategic Development Board and relevant Portfolio Holders as well as preparing and presenting business cases for approval.
It goes without saying that you’ll have excellent relationship building, communication and influencing skills and be able to build the confidence of senior officers and politicians.
You will work with our Construction Programmes Manager to establish efficient routes to procurement to ensure projects are delivered on time and budget with specifications that support our Climate Change Strategy and ensure best value across a building’s lifecycle.
You may probably be RICS or CIOB qualified or have a relevant project management qualification. You may have a public sector background but experience in successfully managing a complex construction related programme is just as important.
You’ll also need to be organised, excellent at managing compliance and risk and able to keep a tight control over budget expenditure.
It’s an exciting time to be joining Enfield, visit our Place website to find out more.
